Powell’s Technical Bookstore – yum! I thought all O’Reilly authors went to bookstores on dates with their wives. I know I do. Yes, I have too many technical books, but then I have too many books for common sense anyway.

As a fellow O’Reilly author…

I agree on growth in second editions. I wish our new book could have been a new book entirely, though. For one thing, I am seeing a lot of people still buying the first edition thinking it’s the second (partly Amazon’s fault for crappy product info). For another, I would have liked to break from some of the constraints of the first edition and get out from the shadow of “oh they just revised it.” Not that the first edition was bad, but the second is really a whole new book.
